The event paid tribute to mathematics and promoted awareness of mathematics education.

UH in the Home Stretch for Recyclemania
Since February, UH has been competing against nearly 400 universities in the 2015 Recyclemania Tournament. Each week, the University reports the amount of recycling and waste reduction collected to Recyclemania officials. The contest draws to a close on March 28, and UH’s Office of Sustainability is counting on Coogs to continue recycling.

National Legal Experts to Discuss the 'Rule of Law' at UH
The University of Houston Hobby Center for Public Policy’s “BB&T Speaker Series” hosts a panel of experts in the fields of law, civil liberties and philosophy to discuss “The Rule of Law: Current Status.”  The event begins at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 7 in the UH Student Center Theater.  It is free and open to the public.

UH’s Veterans Services Office and the Women and Gender Resource Center will host a screening of the documentary “Service: When Women Come Marching Home” in honor of Women’s History Month. The event begins at 11 a.m. at the Student Center South-Downtown Room (No. 261). A panel discussion will follow. Lunch will be served.

  ACE Panel: Socioeconomic Diversity Policies Failing
The focus used to be on a lack of minority representation in higher education. Now it has expanded to include a focus on the dearth of socioeconomic diversity. Some would contend that the one is a proxy for the other, and that by opening the door to more students from lower-income families, problems of diversity would be solved.
